EV Chargers

Charge your electric car with solar energy

If you own an electric vehicle or you’re thinking of getting one, the combination with solar panels is unbeatable. You can charge your car for free with the sun during the middle of the day, when your panels produce more energy than your home is using.

An average electric car uses between 15 and 20 kWh per 100 km. With a properly sized solar installation, you can cover between 10,000 and 15,000 km a year with no electricity cost at all.

Types of EV chargers

We install charge points for private homes and apartment communities:

• Single-phase 7.4 kW charger: The most common option for home use. Full charge in 6-8 hours (ideal for overnight charging or daytime solar charging).
• Three-phase 11 kW charger: Faster charging — 3-4 hours. Requires a three-phase electrical supply.
• Three-phase 22 kW charger: For those who need maximum charging speed.

All our EV chargers include WiFi connectivity to monitor and schedule charging from your phone.

Smart solar integration

The chargers we install can be configured to charge your car only when there’s a solar surplus. This way you prioritise your home’s self-consumption and use the leftover energy to charge your vehicle, without spending a single cent from the grid.

You can also schedule charging during off-peak hours (overnight) if you prefer to charge when grid electricity is cheaper.

Installation and legalisation

An EV charge point installation includes:

• Survey of your existing electrical installation
• Charger installation and dedicated wiring
• Dedicated electrical protections
• Electrical certificate (boletín)
• App configuration and commissioning

If we install it together with your solar panels, the cost is lower because we make use of the same site visit and labour.
