Find out in 5 steps how many years it takes to recover your solar investment on the Costa Blanca North.
Step 1 of 5
We need two figures from your electricity bill. We’ll show you exactly where to find them.
📋 Look for this consumption graph on your bill:
① Monthly consumption (kWh)
Look at the bars on the chart. Pick the highest one or estimate an average.
② Monthly bill (€)
What you pay for electricity each month. If you don’t know the exact amount, give an approximate figure.
Enter your details:
The highest month on the chart, or an average of the bars.
Your monthly electricity bill (approximate).
If you don’t have the figures, you can still continue.
Step 2 of 5
What type of property do you have?
This affects the space available on your roof and the type of installation.
Pools with pumps and heating significantly increase electricity consumption.
Step 3 of 5
Where is your property?
We cover the whole Costa Blanca North. Local incentives are checked for your address during the free survey.
Step 4 of 5
Would you like to include a solar battery in the estimate?
The battery stores daytime energy for use at night. It increases self-consumption from 40-50% to 70-85%.

Tax benefits — on top of the savings above
These are not included in the payback figure, because the amount depends on your municipality and your personal tax situation.
IBI discount (property tax)
Most town halls on the Costa Blanca North reduce your IBI for several years after a solar installation. Both the percentage and the number of years are set by each town hall in its own tax bylaw, so they differ from one municipality to the next. We check exactly what applies to your address during the free survey.
Income tax (IRPF) deduction
Spanish income tax allows a deduction of up to 40% of what you pay, on a maximum base of 7,500 €, for works completed before 31 December 2026. It requires energy performance certificates issued before and after the works, showing at least a 30% cut in non-renewable primary energy use or an A or B rating. Your tax adviser confirms your own case.
Both benefits come in addition to the payback shown above. In practice, they bring it forward.

* Indicative estimates. The payback figure reflects electricity savings only and excludes the IBI discount and the IRPF deduction, which vary by municipality and by personal circumstances. Based on an average of 5.2 peak sun hours/day on the Costa Blanca North, 590W panels, target savings of 80% on your current bill (not 100%, due to fixed charges and night-time consumption), an average electricity price rise of 4% per year and panel degradation of 0.5%/year. Actual results depend on orientation, tilt, shading and real consumption. For a precise calculation, request a free solar survey with technical analysis.
